We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP practice in Streatham. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our diverse patient population and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent primary care services.
Main duties of the job
- Immunisations and vaccinations (childhood & adult)
- Wound care and dressings
- Cervical cytology (smears)
- Health checks and lifestyle advice
- Manage chronic disease clinics (e.g. asthma, diabetes, COPD, hypertension, SMI and Learning disability reviews)
- Perform phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, and urinalysis
- B12 and Depo injections
- Contraception review
- Support infection prevention and control procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using clinical systems (EMIS)
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Work within NMC guidelines and practice protocols
- Support safeguarding and public health initiatives
- Assist in training and mentoring healthcare assistants where appropriate

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
- Experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting
- Competent in cervical smears, wound dressing, and chronic disease management
- Phlebotomy trained
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with QOF and clinical audits
- Travel health training
