Located on the outskirts of Portadown, Prentice is a family owned business. Operating from our state of the art showroom, we are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated individual to join the Accounts Department. The main purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the accounts team ensuring both efficiency and professionalism. Due to the nature of this role, a high level of accuracy will be required along with the ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Adhere to monthly timetable to ensure key objectives are completed within set deadlines
- Process purchase invoices in a timely and accurate manner, including matching receipt notes with invoices, checking prices against purchase orders and ensuring correct account codes are used in preparation for computer input
- Ensuring all invoices are scanned onto the system and assigned to the correct Manager
- Managing Petty Cash
- Prepare and arrange payment runs
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers on invoice/PO/Payment Issues
- Reconcile statements, ensuring all invoices and credit notes are accounted for
- Maintain accounts payable files by filing all accounts payable documentation and updating supplier details
- Travel arrangements for training including booking flights, hotel, transfers and car parking
- Undertake any ad-hoc projects which may be required by management
Essentials:
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate at any level within the business and the desire to work accurately and efficiently as part of a team. You will also need to show evidence of the following:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent
- One years experience in a busy accounts environment
- Good IT skills, in particular MS Office packages including Excel
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail
Desirables:
Experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Knowledge of Drive System would be an advantage (full training will be provided).
Hours and Remuneration:
In return for your skills and experience, you'll receive a competitive salary, on-site parking, 30 days holiday including 8 days statutory holidays. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm. Salary Β£26,500 - Β£27,500 per annum depending on experience.
