About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding team. As an Electrical Engineer you will be required to undertake an Electrical design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by our clients. You will be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Undertake an Electrical design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems
- Work to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by clients
- Produce work with good attention to detail
- Learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commit to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities
Qualifications
- Gained an Electrical Engineering degree
- Registered with an appropriate institution
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer
Required Skills
- Experience working within utility, pipeline or related industries
- Good working knowledge of the applicable design codes including BS7671 - electrical wiring regulations and British Standards
Preferred Skills
- C&G2396 electrical design qualification
- Knowledge / experience of the following:
- AMTECH
- Autocad 2D
- ATEX / DSEAR Compliance
- Knowledge of instrumentation systems would be an advantage
