Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Grease Operative role based in Dagenham. The Grease Operative will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining kitchen extract and duct systems, including fans, canopies, filters, and associated ductwork, to meet safety and hygiene standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Attending scheduled client sites
  • Carrying out grease removal using appropriate tools and chemicals
  • Inspecting systems for damage or non-compliance
  • Documenting work with reports and photos

The role also involves assisting with basic ductwork maintenance, supporting fire damper inspection teams when required, and following all health and safety procedures, including working at height and confined space protocols. The Grease Operative will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure jobs are completed on time, to specification, and with minimal disruption to client operations.

Qualifications
