Following strong business performance, including UK store sales growth of 15.4%, online growth of 21.2% and overall revenue growth of 17.0%, we're looking for a commercially minded and data-driven Commercial Insights Analyst to help support our next stage of growth.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, offering hybrid working flexibility around our Norwich Head Office. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful business insight, helping shape strategic decisions and driving operational performance across a fast-paced retail environment.

The Role

Working closely with our Commercial, Retail, Supply Chain and Marketing teams, you will analyse sales and operational performance, support forecasting and planning processes, and provide valuable insights that help maximise sales, stock efficiency and profitability.

You will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable recommendations while supporting the business in developing more automated and AI-driven reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse sales, inventory and customer data across categories, channels and markets to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning activities, ensuring forecasts align with commercial objectives and business strategy.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting on sales performance, stock levels, promotional activity and commercial KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate reporting processes through technology and AI solutions.
  • Monitor UK and European market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to support pricing, range and promotional strategies.
  • Develop engaging dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI and customer insight platforms.
  • Support strategic business decision-making through data-driven analysis and recommendations.

About You

You'll be naturally curious, highly analytical and comfortable working with large volumes of data. You'll enjoy solving problems, identifying trends and communicating findings in a way that drives action.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Ideally educated to A-Level standard or above, preferably with a degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience working with retail analytics platforms such as IRI, Nielsen or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced Excel and Power BI capability.
  • Experience working with shopper or customer data platforms and translating complex datasets into actionable commercial insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
  • Previous experience within retail S&OP planning, category management, demand planning or FMCG environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar data querying languages would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of retail operations, merchandising and stock management principles.
  • A passion for angling and/or the outdoors would be highly desirable.
