The Opportunity

Reporting to the Heathrow Branch Manager, you’ll take ownership of export airfreight shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring every shipment is handled accurately, efficiently and in line with customer and compliance requirements. You’ll also prepare competitive airfreight quotations, identifying the right routing and service solutions for our customers. Working closely with customers, airlines, hauliers and overseas partners, you’ll use CargoWise, Pathway and WebCargo to deliver a proactive, commercially aware and efficient service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage export airfreight shipments end-to-end, including collections, airline bookings, customs clearance and airline delivery.
  • Prepare and check export documentation, including HAWBs, MAWBs and pre-alerts.
  • Monitor shipments and airline cut-offs, proactively resolving issues and keeping customers informed.
  • Maintain accurate information in CargoWise to support Pathway customer visibility and service delivery.
  • Prepare competitive airfreight quotations using WebCargo and follow up opportunities.
  • Complete shipment costing and billing accurately and on time.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, airlines, suppliers and overseas partners.
  • Ensure shipments meet customer SOPs, AEO requirements and relevant customs and aviation security standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing export airfreight shipments from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of export airfreight operations, documentation and customs requirements.
  • Ideally, experience using CargoWise for operations and customs entries and WebCargo for airfreight quotations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a proactive approach to keeping customers informed.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
  • A proactive problem solver who takes ownership and works collaboratively as part of a team.
