As a Sous Chef you are in a position of responsibility within the operation and key to the success of the business and thus must always carry yourself in a professional manner.
Your tasks will include supporting the Chef Patron and Head Chef in their daily tasks (rotas, ordering, stock control, menu management, allergens). You are involved with the production and service of all food leaving the kitchen.
Take an active role in the recruitment and training of the junior chefs in the kitchen. Interact well with customers. Liaise well with the FOH team and create a cohesive environment to work in.
Ensuring that the kitchen is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, accepting, and organising deliveries. Have exceptional knowledge in and adhere to all health and safety and food safety practices. Be a positive member of the team and communicate well with others around you.
