An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for the successful financial management and control of high-value interior fit-out and bespoke joinery projects. You will take ownership of project costs from early engagement through to final account, ensuring strong commercial performance and supporting operational delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost plans and build-ups from first principles
- Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts across multiple projects
- Work closely with design, production, and project delivery teams
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiating best value
- Monitor and report on project costs against budgets
- Support procurement and commercial risk management strategies
- Ensure contractual compliance across all project stages
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, fit-out, or specialist joinery
- Strong ability to build cost plans from first principles
- Experience within interior fit-out or subcontract packages (desirable)
- Confident managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT preferred)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness
