An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banker Mason / Stonemason to join a well-established and highly respected specialist stonemasonry business based in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will join a skilled workshop team producing high-quality natural stonework for a range of prestigious architectural, heritage, interior and structural projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served mason who takes pride in traditional craftsmanship, attention to detail and producing work to an exceptionally high standard.

The Role: As a Banker Mason / Stonemason, you will be responsible for working with natural stone within a specialist workshop environment, producing and finishing bespoke masonry components to detailed drawings and specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cutting, shaping and finishing natural stone by hand.
  • Producing bespoke architectural and structural stonework to precise specifications.
  • Working from detailed drawings, templates and specifications.
  • Hand-finishing stone following initial CNC and machine processes.
  • Producing detailed and intricate masonry, including mouldings, arches, columns, staircases and other architectural features.
  • Working with a variety of natural stones.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of accuracy, finish and quality.
