Project Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + package, depending on experience A well-established and growing design and build contractor specialising in high-quality workplace and commercial fit out is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Working across a range of CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment and design & build projects, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the project delivery and design teams. This is a role where the level of responsibility and salary can be shaped around the individual. Candidates with strong fit-out experience and the ability to take ownership of projects can command a salary towards the top end of the range. The Role: * Managing the commercial aspects of projects from contract award through to completion * Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports * Managing variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts * Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers * Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor accounts * Monitoring project costs, margins and commercial performance * Working closely with Project Managers, Designers and the wider delivery team * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project * Supporting the pre-construction and estimating teams where required * Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers About You: We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have a background in commercial fit out, refurbishment or construction, ideally with experience working for a main contractor or design & build business. You may be a Project QS already, or a Quantity Surveyor looking for the opportunity to take greater ownership and responsibility across projects. Strong commercial awareness, good attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with clients and supply chain partners are important.
