We are working with a highly respected main contractor renowned for delivering some of the UK’s most prestigious private homes, heritage restorations, and bespoke country estates. They’re seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who can manage complex builds with precision, integrity, and attention to detail.

Initial projects include the high quality refurbishment of a private residence, characterised by heritage detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and contemporary luxury. The forward pipeline consists exclusively of bespoke residential projects, with contract values ranging from £5m to £20m.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial delivery of this exceptional project, working closely with the site and senior management teams to ensure financial control from pre-construction through to final account.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cost control, budgeting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and administer subcontract packages, valuations, and payments
  • Lead on procurement strategy and subcontractor negotiations
  • Manage variations, change control, and risk mitigation
  • Prepare accurate cost reports and cashflow forecasts
  • Support final accounts and ensure commercial compliance
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on £5m+ prime or super prime residential / heritage projects
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and cost management expertise
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • A meticulous approach with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence working within high end, client facing environments
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset
