A well-established international main contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team for a significant £30m refurbishment scheme in Cardiff. The project forms part of a wider regeneration development scheme and is being delivered on behalf of a respected housing association.

The Role
- You’ll be commercially responsible for ensuring the successful financial delivery of the project, from procurement through to final account.
- Reporting to a Senior QS or Commercial Manager, you’ll work closely with the project team and client to manage cost control, valuations, and variations, while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and contractual aspects of the project
- Prepare interim valuations and agree final accounts
- Monitor cost control and forecasting
- Procure and manage subcontract packages
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Work closely with the wider project team to ensure timely and profitable delivery
Requirements
- Experience working with a main contractor on residential or commercial projects or with a reputable facades/cladding specialist contractor
- Strong knowledge of post contract commercial management
- Confident in producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Able to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail
