A well-established and privately owned main contractor with a turnover in excess of £150m is seeking two Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the prime residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, the company typically undertakes schemes ranging from £10m to £70m in value. Their continued growth and secure pipeline make this an excellent opportunity for long-term career development.
The successful candidates will support the delivery of one of the below projects:
- Project 1 – Luxury Duplex Conversion: A £20m high-end refurbishment of prime apartments into luxury duplex penthouses. The project involves freeholder negotiation, complex stakeholder liaison, and construction in a retained occupation environment.
- Project 2 – Residential Conversion Scheme: A £30m commercial-to-residential conversion, currently at PCSA stage, delivering 60 well-specified apartments. The scheme involves structural reconfiguration, M&E coordination, and early-stage commercial planning.
You will work closely with the Commercial Director and project delivery teams to manage procurement, cost reporting, and subcontractor accounts across both schemes.
The Role
- Manage procurement processes and tender packages
- Carry out cost reporting and valuations
- Work with the design and delivery teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Liaise with subcontractors and consultants throughout delivery
- Oversee variation management and final account preparation
The Candidate
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Experience in high end residential refurbishment and/or commercial-to-residential conversions
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Degree qualified or equivalent preferred
