A rapidly growing specialist contractor delivering fire safety remediation and building safety projects across the UK is looking to appoint one or two Technical Managers to join their expanding team.
Following significant contract awards with major residential developers, the business has built a strong pipeline of work delivering remediation programmes across projects ranging from £1m – £40m.
Operating as a Principal Contractor, they manage the technical delivery of complex remediation schemes including façade replacement, fire protection works and internal fire safety upgrades.
The Role - Technical Director:
- Provide authoritative technical leadership across all stages of project delivery, from bid through to completion.
- Review, challenge, and approve remediation strategies, design outputs, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to project planning, construction sequencing, and logistical strategies, particularly within occupied residential environments.
- Oversee the effective delivery of Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM Regulations and Building Regulations.
- Support the preparation and submission of Gateway applications and engage with the Building Safety Regulator as required.
- Act as a senior technical representative in client and stakeholder interactions.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Technical Managers, ensuring consistent standards, performance, and professional growth.
Required:
- Demonstrable experience with delivering complex building remediation or façade projects.
- Strong working knowledge of UK building safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act and CDM Regulations.
- Experience supporting or overseeing both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor functions.
