A leading international contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Technical (Mechanical) Manager to support its growing MEP delivery strategy across major projects in London and the South East, with some involvement in wider regional schemes. This is a key technical leadership role within a contractor that is strengthening its in-house MEP capability to improve design control, coordination, quality, and programme certainty across a diverse portfolio of complex building projects. Projects span multiple sectors including healthcare, residential regeneration, education, and data centres, with individual project values typically ranging from £5m to £130m.
The Role
You will provide mechanical design and engineering leadership across a portfolio of projects, with responsibility for managing design development from preconstruction through to delivery. Working closely with MEP designers, consultants, BIM teams and internal project teams, you will ensure coordinated, compliant and buildable design solutions are developed and effectively delivered on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading mechanical design and technical management across multiple projects
- Supporting preconstruction, work winning and bid stage design development
- Managing relationships with MEP consultants, designers and BIM teams
- Overseeing design coordination, review and technical assurance processes
