The Company: My client are a Specialist Construction Contractor. The group comprises a holding company, a main trading entity and a design and consultancy arm. HQ based in SE London.
The Role - Management Accountant / Finance Lead: My client are seeking an in‑house Management Accountant to join their growing construction group and take full ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function across multiple group companies. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail and playing an integral part in the operational running of the business.
You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end processing of financial transactions, including:
- purchase and sales invoices
- supplier payments
- payroll
- VAT and CIS returns
- credit control
- maintenance of accurate accounting records across the group
Background in construction, contracting or engineering. Strong understanding of VAT (construction experience preferred), CIS, Payroll & PAYE. Used to working in a fast‑moving operational environment. Commuting distance to HQ (full‑time office role up until probation completion). There is a strong scope for progression, whilst the group grows.
