A leading specialist contractor who delivers high-end luxury bathroom pods, operating within the residential and mixed-use construction sector is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with strong leadership, programme management and commercial skills to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final handover.

The Role:

As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day construction activities across multiple project phases
  • Reviewing drawings, designs, RAMS, logistics plans and scopes of work
  • Monitoring project programmes and providing regular progress updates to clients
  • Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and HSQE meetings
  • Overseeing testing, snagging, de-snagging and handover processes
  • Supporting commercial activities including variations, valuations, cost analysis and budget monitoring
  • Producing short-term programmes, trackers and delay analysis reports
  • Liaising closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Identifying opportunities for value engineering and improved construction methodologies

Requirements:

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Construction Manager, Project Manager or similar role
  • Experience delivering residential, mixed-use, modular, fit-out or specialist subcontractor packages
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, programmes and project delivery
  • A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, stakeholders and site teams
  • Excellent Health & Safety knowledge, including CDM regulations
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Experience using construction management software such as MS Project, Asta, Fieldview, Aconex, Datascope and Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Professional membership such as MCIOB or RICS
  • Knowledge of BIM and CAD software
