My Client are a UK specialist in ventilation, ductwork and passive fire protection systems, the company designs, manufactures, installs and maintains building services solutions for major commercial, infrastructure, healthcare and education projects. With over 130 years of engineering experience, it is recognised for delivering high-quality solutions on complex construction projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit fully compliant cost estimates, tenders, and pricing proposals within required deadlines.
- Carry out accurate quantification and take-offs of ductwork, fittings, ancillaries, and associated materials using electronic measurement tools (Bluebeam Revu).
- Work collaboratively with the Estimating Team and internal Engineering Team to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Attend tender meetings, mid-bids, and site visits as required.
- Prepare competitive and robust cost estimates that reflect the enquiry T&Cs, programme, specifications, and project scope.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including proactive follow-up on submitted quotations and tender opportunities.
- Assemble all required documentation for tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in developing and enhancing existing estimating practices, utilising updated procedures, digital tools, and new technologies.
- Seek clarification and technical/contractual advice where required, especially on non-standard items or complex project requirements.
- Identify items of equipment & sub-contract that require quotations from others. Seek the necessary quotations from others by preparing enquiry documents, ensuring they reflect the correct level of detail and scope of works.
- Handover secured projects to the Project Team with all relevant estimating information and documentation.
Desirable
A ventilation background is preferred, but open to experience in other services i.e. Electrical Estimator.
