This is a client facing role within a genuinely collaborative team. The Directors have instilled a fantastic ethos within the company, where everyone looks out for each other and work together for the greater good of the business and their personal development.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director and working alongside a Project Manager, you will manage the on-site installation of bespoke staircases and architectural fabrications from readiness for site through to completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the planning, sequencing and execution of installation works on site
  • Acting as the main point of contact with the main contractor and site team
  • Representing the business professionally at the front end of the project
  • Leading and supporting highly skilled in-house installation teams
  • Ensuring exceptional quality standards are maintained throughout installation
  • Coordinating with design and workshop teams to resolve technical or buildability issues
  • Implementing and managing site-specific health and safety requirements, including RAMS, lift plans and hot works permits
  • Proactively identifying and resolving site issues to protect programme and quality
  • Maintaining accurate site records and providing clear progress reporting

The initial project is a £2m+ staircase package within a major commercial office fit-out in Central London.

This role will suit someone with strong site management credentials who is comfortable operating in high-end finish, design-led environments. You will ideally have:

  • 5–10 years’ experience working on live construction sites in a management role
  • Experience within commercial fit-out, high-end residential or specialist subcontracting
  • Strong understanding of site coordination, sequencing and logistics
  • A detail-driven approach appropriate for bespoke and high-quality finishes
  • Confident leadership style and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills with contractors, consultants and internal teams
  • A proactive, solutions-led mindset

Essential:

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS (Supervisor or Manager level)
  • Strong working knowledge of construction health and safety

Desirable:

  • Experience with bespoke fabrication, staircases, joinery or architectural metalwork
  • Background working on or alongside the tools
  • Experience operating between workshop production and site installation
  • IOSH or additional H&S training
  • Full UK driving licence
