We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Planner to establish and maintain effective planning and programming systems across multiple new build and interior fit-out projects. This is a key role for a dynamic, forward-thinking specialist contractor, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile and iconic projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction programming, a broad technical knowledge of the construction process, and a third-level construction-related qualification. You will be commercially aware, with strong leadership and people management skills, and the ability to influence project teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Estimating team with tender programmes and Method Statements.
- Provide programmes for job estimations, highlighting potential constraints and risks to the completion timetable.
- Work with project teams, including design, procurement, and manufacture, to prepare comprehensive planning information for new project start-ups, including sequence of operations, dependencies, resources, and subcontractor/material procurement.
- Update project programmes and plans with site feedback on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, covering internal teams, supply chain, and subcontractor works.
- Advise project teams of critical changes to priorities or risks (early warning notices) and recommend actions to maintain targets.
- Control and record programme revisions.
- Provide regular progress evaluation and commentary to the Planning Manager and Senior Management Team, including drop-line analysis, critical path delay analysis, KPI tracking, and exception reporting.
- Identify techniques to improve estimating, planning, and cost control on current and future projects.
- Undertake additional duties and projects within your knowledge, experience, or competency.
Additional Requirement:
Travel to UK and overseas sites will be required as part of this role.
