Overview
Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Prime Residential role with a well-regarded main contractor delivering prestigious projects across London and the South of England, including prime residential and heritage works. The project mentioned is a £7m heritage refurbishment near Lewes, converting historic farm buildings and outbuildings into high quality Prime Residential homes and some commercial space within the estate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with procurement and subcontractor management.
- Take an active role in cost reporting and valuations.
- Support the monitoring of project costs, variations, and cash flow.
- Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.
- Engage with the project team and stakeholders on commercial matters.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as an Assistant QS or Graduate QS with a main contractor (Prime Residential specialist or large reputable contractor preferred).
- Ideally some refurbishment, heritage, or prime residential experience.
- Ambition and the desire to step up into greater responsibility.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
