Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive leader to oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic financial planning. This role acts as a bridge between transactional finance and senior leadership, with a clear pathway to Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise finance administrators, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior leadership.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support the Finance Director with strategic projects and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or working towards.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience or potential to lead a small team.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Excel.

Succession Path

Exposure to strategic planning and leadership responsibilities to prepare for progression to Finance Director.
