Nursery Assistant – Plant Nursery Location: Shropshire Pay: £12.21 per hour Hours: 39 hours/week Mon–Thurs: 08:00–16:30 Fri: 08:00–13:30 KPI Recruiting are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our client\’s team at a well-established plant nursery . This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a passion for horticulture and a love of working outdoors. Please note: This role is based at a plant nursery and involves horticultural work, not childcare. Key Responsibilities Care for a wide variety of plants, from seedlings to mature specimens Watering, pruning, and general plant maintenance Assist with propagation tasks (e.g., seed sowing, taking cuttings) Monitor plant health and report issues like pests or diseases Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies Interact professionally with colleagues, customers, and visitors What We\’re Looking For Genuine interest in plants, gardening, or horticulture Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather Team player with a positive attitude Willingness to learn and follow guidance Desirable Experience in a horticultural or garden centre setting Basic plant knowledge (types, care, propagation) This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their horticultural skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
