We are looking for a junior account manager to join the Arts, Culture and Corporate PR team, which works on a range of retained clients across the arts, culture and media sectors. Reporting directly to the division lead, they will be part of a growing team, have the opportunity to line manage, and also have significant potential for growth.
The candidate will play an important role within the team across a broad range of activities, promoting our clients to the right audiences with campaigns that stand out and make a difference, winning new business and representing the department internally and externally. They will also have an opportunity to occasionally support wider agency activities such as film premieres and screenings.
The right candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrable experience of placing coverage in the arts and culture industry and/or corporate communications.
Key responsibilities include:- Project management
- Report writing
- Media relations
- Day to day client management
- Take the lead in ensuring processes are followed, driving the client planning process and the delivery of plans as needed, while providing support to the senior team when necessary.
- Ensure we are always delivering best in class consultancy to clients.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of all the accounts you are across.
- Work alongside the senior team to deliver outstanding pitch work.
- Proactively manage feature placements for clients, and all previews/listings, reviews and competition placements on accounts.
- Be aware of and share new trends within popular culture and wider consumer communications to inform client recommendations.
- Advise on the best tools to be using to deliver first class campaigns.
- Have an excellent, strategic understanding of the media and the arts and culture landscape.
- Maintain and grow key contacts across traditional media, websites and social channels (including influencers) and acquire up to date knowledge of deadlines and PR feature opportunities.
- Support the junior team and oversee the quality of work delivered internally and for client approval (e.g. press releases, proposals, reports), requiring minimal input from senior team.
- Manage media sell-ins as directed by the senior team to secure news, previews, reviews, competitions and features.
- Support the department in ensuring your direct report has set goals and is delivering against them.
- Raise the profile of the Business Development team in the industry by regular attendance at group events or presentations.
- Play a part in developing new business proposals and in engaging new business contacts.
- Support the team in seeking out and identifying additional revenue opportunities from existing clients.
- Follow all house systems and styles.
- Contribute to the growth and culture of the company by showing an active interest in other departments and encouraging your teams to do the same.
- Ensure you are fully competent and trained on all the tools used by the team.
This is a full-time hybrid role, based 3 days a week in our central London office (usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays but subject to change depending on meetings). Some out of hours will be required on occasion.
You will report to the Account Director of the Arts, Culture and Corporate team.
