An award-winning social impact integrated communications consultancy is hiring an exceptional Social Senior Social Account Director to lead social strategy on campaigns that genuinely change behaviour and improve lives. This is a rare senior role for a social leader who wants more than brand campaigns and vanity metrics. You’ll work on nationally recognised programmes across sustainability, climate action, health and inequality – shaping social strategy that drives real-world impact.

The opportunity:
This is a senior, consultative role at the intersection of social, strategy and social impact. You’ll be the trusted social lead for major clients – challenging briefs, spotting cultural and behavioural insights, and designing social strategies that cut through noise and deliver measurable change. You’ll lead integrated programmes across organic content, community, influencer and amplification, mentor talented teams, and play a key role in positioning the consultancy as a leader in social impact communications.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead organic-first social strategy for flagship social impact and sustainability clients.
- Act as senior client partner, building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Oversee content strategy, editorial planning, copy and publishing.
- Lead community management, social listening and reputation/crisis programmes.
- Collaborate with creatives, strategists and policy experts on social-first ideas.
- Integrate paid social intelligently with specialist media teams (approx. 20% of role).
- Track performance, cultural trends and behavioural insight to optimise impact.
- Mentor and develop senior and mid-level social talent.
- Support new business, pitches and the consultancy’s thought leadership.
About you:
- 6–8+ years’ experience in social media, ideally agency or consultancy side.
- Some crisis experience is required.
- A senior organic social specialist with strong strategic and hands-on delivery skills.
- Proven experience delivering social strategies that drive engagement and behaviour change.
- Background in sustainability, health, public sector or social impact communications is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of paid social fundamentals and integrated comms.
- A confident, collaborative leader with outstanding client presence.
- Good community management and experience of using Sprinklr is desirable.
