Your Role
- Lead and Inspire: Shape and grow our youth and worship ministries, bringing vision, creativity, and energy to both areas of church life.
- Disciple the Next Generation: Build meaningful relationships with young people, helping them grow in faith, discover their gifts, and become confident followers of Jesus.
- Develop Teams: Recruit, train, encourage, and pastor volunteers, musicians, singers, and worship leaders, building healthy and thriving teams.
- Lead Worship: Plan and lead contemporary worship that is Spirit-led, Christ-centred, and accessible, helping people of all ages encounter God through music, prayer, and Scripture.
- Reach the Community: Strengthen connections with local schools and engage with young people beyond the church, creating opportunities for outreach and mission.
- Model Faith: Demonstrate a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus, serving as a role model of worship, discipleship, integrity, and joyful faith.
Key Information
- Full-time Role: 40 hours per week, including core and flexible hours.
- Flexible Opportunities: While advertised as a combined role, we are open to part-time appointments or splitting the role into separate Youth Minister and Worship Minister positions for the right candidate(s).
- Salary: £28,000-£31,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Annual Leave: 25 days per year (pro-rata), plus bank holidays.
Requirements:
- A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a committed Christian, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
- A willingness to become a full member of St Peter's and actively support the church's vision and values.
