Van Driver

Our client, a thriving organisation in Basildon is looking to recruit a Van Driver on a permanent basis to join their expanding workforce. The ideal candidate will have held a full and valid driving license, have exceptional people skills, good numerical skills and a flexible approach to work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Van Driver role:

Ensure vehicle has daily checks, as per the driving manual, and kept clean and tidy at all times.
The driver is the \’face\’ of the company and is required to provide high standards of service to clients at all times.
Check goods whilst loading and unloading the van to ensure cargo integrity and highlight any damages or loss immediately to the Transport Manager.
Assist with the loading and unloading of your vehicle, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods.
Safety – Ensure all freight loaded is secured and unlikely to move during transit, using straps when required.
Drive safely at all times and within the legal requirements. Be courteous to other drivers and the general public.
This role involves delivering to multiple sites in Central London – so knowledge of London is essential

Requirements for the Van Driver role:

Have held a full and valid driving license for at least 5 years

Good numerical skills
Excellent people and communication skills is essential – you will be the face of the company!
The ability to work extra hours if required / Positive and friendly personality with a \”can do\” approach
Punctual and reliable
London Driving experience is essential
