Premier Work Support are currently recruiting a permanent LGV Tanker Driver for a well established multi-national company in Grays. This can be a physically demanding role and, for insurance purposes, successful applicants will need to hold a Class 2 licence (ideally with no points), and have check-able experience driving a class 2 vehicle, specifically a minimum of 60 days driving a similar vehicle within the last 180 days. The purpose of this role is to perform commercial and domestic fuel deliveries using either a Rigid or Articulated tanker. Essential requirements for the role: Valid ADR license, covering class 3 and Tanks Full understanding of Tacho regulations and Working Time Directive Full understanding of the Highway code and the main rules of the Road traffic act Understanding of H&S and how it relates to the role of the driver Ability to resolve issues with customersDesired requirements for the role: Knowledge or experience of operating rigid fuel tankers – training will be given Previous experience in relevant role – training will be given Organisational skills and the ability to work without supervision Conscientiousness and pro-activeness A can-do attitude Responsibilities will include: Ensuring vehicle checks are completed at the start of the day, effectively and completely Completing any required manual tachograph entries Complying with all requirements at the location when loading Ensuring deliveries are made to the correct location, on time and in full Reporting any discrepancies to the transport department, including any delays incurred Completing paperwork and any required manual tachograph entriesThe hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 5am – 1pm or 6am – 2pm.
