We are looking for a skilled temporary Machine Operator with experience on grinding machines in the Basildon area to support one of our clients in the Manufacturing Industry. This role is perfect for someone confident working with machinery.
Key responsibilities:
- Follow all factory procedures regarding safety, production, and quality control
- Read and interpret job sheets detailing tooling requirements
- Load tool blanks into machine and set up parameters as required
- Start machine and monitor machine operation for consistency
- Measure using standard inspection equipment to ensure conformance to job specification
- Adjust the machine to keep strict tolerances
- Clean machines and workspace
Preferred Qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of cutting tools
- Basic engineering geometric measurements
- Attention to details
