Duties:
We have a decent sized fleet of vehicles and trailers that we like to keep in the best of health so day to day you will be running maintenance on our fleet and ensuring they are kept safe, as well as responding to driver reported defects.
Duties will include:
Repair and maintenance of the fleet in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
Preparing vehicles and trailers for their 6 weekly inspections
Running diagnostics on vehicles utilising a range of equipment.
Rectifying driver reportable defects.
Tyre checks and maintenance.
Pre MOT inspections and preparation.
Presenting vehicles for their inspections and MOT.
Other general repair and maintenance as required by the management team. What are we are looking for
Someone who has good open communication skills both verbal and written whilst having the ability to work as part of our team and also as an individual using their own initiative. You'll also be able to work well under pressure with a pro active response in finding a solution to a problem.
You will be flexible enough to undertake a wide range of tasks and help out the team when the need arises.
You will have a full UK drivers' licence and ideally have a HGV qualification. A good working knowledge of the HGV/MOT regulations would also be advantageous.
You will have experience and the ability to undertake all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to the highest of standards in a safe professional manner. xgikmsk
This is a very physical role, so the ability and knowledge of lifting and manual handling is vital.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 6/7am to 6/7pm - Saturdays 7am to 1pm
