Our client, who are a business leader in their sector, are seeking to recruit a permanent Contracts Logistics Administrator to assist in the smooth running of their warehouse in Manchester. As the Contracts Logistics Administrator, you will be providing office and computer support services to the warehouse and, when work permits, assisting within the warehouse at peak times. This is an engaging, varied role; you will gain invaluable experience and have the chance to expand your skill set and begin to forge a successful career.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Order processing and management of key reports for both the warehouse and customers
- Client Liaison and escalation point for problems within the warehouse facility
- Management of warehouse visitors in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor
- Setting up deliveries with couriers and UK hauliers based on both profitability and service dependent on customer requirements balanced with the needs of Xpand
- Support the team in their daily duties
- Address service failures and analyse root cause with warehouse supervisor
- Support the Branch Manager
- Develop a strong understanding of our in-house software to improve routines
- Assist within the warehouse including but not limited to Pick & Pack and container loading/unloading
Person Specification:
- Able to produce good quality professional documents
- Take responsibility for developing their own ability
- Proactively identifies improvements to processes and promotes them to the wider team
- Can manage their time
- Minimum 3-5 yearsβ experience in a joint office/warehouse facility
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to influence others
- Understands that different situations and levels may call for different skills and approaches; can work to deploy strengths; and can work on compensating for weaknesses and limits
- Able to build relationships with team members, along with celebrating and rewarding success
