Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for an efficient and diligent temporary Trainee Specialist Valuer to join a leading company located in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, structured environment and have an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in valuations, gain exposure to HMRC compliance requirements, and contribute to the high standards of client service.

About the Role

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm remotely. This is a 7 hour working day taking into account a one hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Contract: 6-month contract.
  • Travel: A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required for this role.
  • Equipment: Equipment will be provided, including a laptop, scanner etc.

What you'll be doing as a Temporary Trainee Specialist Valuer

  • Assistance with share and asset valuations for probate and other forms of valuation.
  • Support historical capital value research using company valuation systems and external data sources.
  • Assist in the preparation of valuation reports including narrative summaries, capital history, and dividend calculations.
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients as required, escalating queries or issues to senior valuers.
  • Help resolve discrepancies in data, liaise with registrars or data providers as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in dealing with client information.
  • Assistance with valuation processes and identification of opportunities for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence in support of marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Make sure you fully comply with data protection, quality and security standards.

  • Strong computer literacy, numeracy, and a high level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Writes and speaks with ease, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to process complex information accurately.
  • Knowledge or experience relating to the stock market, probate, legal processes, or financial services.
