Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, a Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.
The Warehouse Operative duties will involve:
- Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift
- Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages
- Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department
- Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner
- Ensuring all people in the vicinity are wearing Hi-Vis and warehouse staff are wearing safety footwear
- Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse
Hours of work are Monday to Friday. Flexibility with hours is a must as you will be rotating shifts. Shifts are 6am - 2.30pm and 11.30am - 8pm. If you feel that you have all of the skills for this role please apply today.
