A great opportunity has arisen with one of our long-standing engineering clients for a permanent Factory Operative to join their Casting department in the Medway area.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 06:00-16:30; Friday 06:00-14:30
Previous factory or manufacturing experience is required, but full training will be provided.
The Role
You will support the safe and efficient running of the Casting department, carrying out a range of production duties, including:
- Operating and loading/unloading robots
- Carrying out hand dipping
- Mixing and testing slurry
- Operating the boilerclave
- Processing components in line with work instructions
- Completing production records and job cards
- Carrying out quality checks
- Following health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly
- Carrying out manual handling duties safely
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a factory or manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Able to follow written instructions and procedures
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality
- A good team player with strong communication skills
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Willing to learn and complete relevant training
