A great opportunity has arisen with a long established manufacturing company in Medway Towns for a CNC Machine Opeartor to join their machinig department on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be working 48 hours per week:

  • Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 06:00 - 14:30

Pay Rate: Β£13.74 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for processing castings while maintaining high standards

Key Responsibilities include:

Production Duties

  • Process castings within the machining department, including:
    • CNC Turning
    • CNC Milling
    • Manual Turning
    • Manual Milling
    • Drilling operations
  • Process parts in accordance with engineering drawings, techniques, and work instructions.
  • Inspect machined parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct first-off checks on other operators' work.
  • Carry out manual handling duties.

Data Recording

  • Complete touch-screen bookings using the bespoke Aventa system.
  • Accurately complete job cards and log work carried out.

Health & Safety

  • Wear and correctly use PPE at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of chemicals used within the department, in line with COSHH assessments and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Understand and comply with relevant Risk Assessments and safe working procedures.

Skills Required

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or machining environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
