We are looking for a motivated and safety‑conscious Technical Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient running of the production line, operating equipment and machinery, supporting continuous improvement activities, and helping the team achieve production targets.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring production equipment and machinery.
- Carrying out routine line checks and basic fault finding.
- Supporting the achievement of daily production targets.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Completing production records and quality documentation accurately.
- Identifying and reporting safety or quality concerns.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth shift handovers and efficient operations.
- Contributing ideas for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
- Operating forklift trucks safely where required (training/authorisation provided where applicable).
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience working in a commercial food production or catering environment.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering.
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- A positive, energetic, and self‑motivated attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
- HACCP Level 2 qualification.
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or production machinery.
