Teach English in South Korea on a paid 12-month placement, in a country where centuries-old Buddhist temples sit alongside some of the world’s most advanced cities. Premier TEFL’s South Korea programme takes graduates with no previous classroom experience and places them in a Korean school, with training, visa support, and accommodation already arranged. You will teach English to students in a Korean school, planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress and building the confidence of learners who may have studied English on paper for years without speaking it aloud. In-school training runs alongside the placement, so you develop lesson planning, classroom management and communication skills while you teach rather than before you start. Placements sit in cities and towns across the provinces of Gyeonggi, Gyeongsangnam-do, Chungcheong, Jeollanam-do and Gangwon-do — a mix of commuter cities, provincial towns and coastal areas rather than Seoul alone. Many teachers find the smaller placements the more rewarding, both for the teaching and for what they let you save. The programme is fully inclusive. Your accredited 120-hour online TEFL course is included and completed before departure, accommodation is rent-free for the duration, and you get visa assistance through the E-2 application plus ongoing and emergency in-country support for the full twelve months. Beyond the classroom, South Korea is one of the easiest countries in Asia to explore. High-speed rail puts most of the country within a few hours, and previous teachers have used their free time for everything from island trips and temple stays to the food scenes in Busan and Jeonju. A shorter six-month version is also available for graduates who want to test teaching abroad before committing to a full year.
