As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a number of Engineering Support Technician professionals to complement their established and successful team of electrical and controls engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to NVQ, C&G or HNC or above in a relevant electrical, electronic or controls related discipline.
  • Eligible to work in the UK with immediate effect.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Willing to attain security clearance to allow working at UK airports.
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK and work nights on a regular basis.

There are a number of exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, ambitious and competent Engineering Support Technician professionals who are driven, motivated team players to join the growing System Support Department. This department is responsible for the preventative maintenance and design and modification of existing SCADA, PLC and associated sub-systems, as well as providing 24-hour emergency call out availability across sites nationwide.

Full training will be provided to practical candidates who have some experience or interest in engineering and technology and who enjoy diagnosing and problem solving whilst delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times. During training, you will develop the skills to work as part of a team to design, implement and test control/integrated systems and program a variety of PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function block or Statement List methods. You will also work with programming and configuring SCADA software packages and use programming languages ranging from C, C++, C#, VB and VBA, as well as undertaking IP network design and configuration and the design and test of ELV electrical panels.
