As Electrical Supervisor, you will liaise closely with the Fleet Department and Production Managers in order to ensure the electrical services within all units are maintained to a safe and regulatory compliant standard, and both develop and implement an electrical testing regime to ensure that all units meet British Standards, (or European / International standards as appropriate) and HSE requirements, implementing a certification process to ensure the company can demonstrate that units meet the required standards (see above) to all clients, prospective clients and regulatory bodies and effectively planning the electrical resource requirements and where required, labour and materials to meet those requirements.
Able to adopt best practice asset planning and lean principles wherever possible to achieve reduced lead times and continuous improvement, you will demonstrate previous experience of working with tenders and potential suppliers, to ensure the best value and the most effective solutions to issues or problems are identified, and when required, you will take scopes of work (SoW) and design drawings provided and develop associated electrical schemes which can be accurately costed, and for projects that are not commercially viable, providing accurate documentation that will allow works to be tendered out co external contractors.
Other duties will include (but not be limited to) calculating electrical loads to ensure electrical infrastructure / schemes will support the electrical demands of the equipment within the installation, reviewing the electrical configuration of units in order to maximise electrical standardisation, and maximising the standardisation of electrical components across the whole portfolio fleet. You will provide electrical installation advice to the Company as required and ensure that whilst sufficient stock is held to enable the timely and proper completion of work, stock levels are minimised, and the Re-use of as much electrical material as possible is utilised to minimise any environmental impact as well as costs.
