Our highly successful niche sector client based in Derby offers high‑integrity control and monitoring systems to blue‑chip clients worldwide. They are recruiting an experienced M&E Manager to oversee supply chain operations and support planning, procurement, and delivery of M&E works across projects and bids.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and attend site surveys at tender and project delivery stages.
- Evaluate M&E supplier proposals for scope completeness, risk, programme and commercial alignment.
- Support the bid team with pricing strategy, risk allowances, qualifications and clarifications for M&E scope.
- Produce technical and delivery requirements for supplier quotations, conduct evaluations and support site surveys as needed to inform delivery strategy.
- Attend design meetings (with design sub‑contractor as required).
- Provide technical and delivery support to the Site Supervisor in site progress meetings and assist Project Managers in planning, execution and completion of M&E sub‑contract works, managing supplier progress and performance, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Manage and review the production of supplier designs.
- Manage M&E FATs and review all relevant documentation.
- Co‑ordinate designers and installers (different sub‑contractors).
- Review site test documentation and RAMS for suitability, completeness and alignment.
- Manage site supervisors for M&E works and all aspects of installation handover, including Commissioning Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers and CAD Engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least an HND in Electrical Engineering or higher.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as an M&E Manager or similar role.
- Strong familiarity with electrical infrastructure and electrical principles used in transport, power or comparable large projects.
- Extensive experience supporting bids or pre‑construction activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Legally permitted to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
