The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

A Secondary Teaching Assistant is needed for an immediate start at an outstanding Secondary school in the Sunderland area. This Teaching Assistant position will be to support pupils in KS3 and KS4 at a single sex school. This full-time role will be long term and ongoing.

Experience in supporting children with any SEN needs would be an advantage but is not essential - a willingness to learn and engage with the pupils and their needs is the most important quality we are looking for. Although a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential, it is desirable and we can signpost you to training providers to enhance your skills.

Posts vary from short term to long term but we require staff that are flexible and willing to learn from experienced staff at the school. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have relevant experience in supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4
  • Be able to adapt to situations showing flexibility

In addition, to work for us as a Secondary Teaching Assistant you must:

  • Provide two referees we can contact
  • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on the level of Teaching Assistant qualification you have achieved and the amount of experience you have to date. We are a teacher run agency based in Sunderland. We provide a supply and permanent placement service to schools in the North East and Teesside area.

We are incredibly supportive and we offer training on site or in house to help to move your career on. We ensure that all staff are compliant with our safeguarding procedures before being placed in our clients' schools. We offer a friendly and highly efficient service and we are contactable 24/7. You will receive prompt weekly payment and provided requirements are met, statutory sick pay if required.
