Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? Are you a newly qualified PGCE Maths graduate looking for that first position? Are you an experienced Maths Teacher who would like a new role?

An outstanding secondary school in the Sunderland area is seeking an outstanding teacher to cover Maths classes for at least one term starting in September 2025 and will be ongoing for one half term. The role will be 4 day role Monday to Thursday teaching Maths KS3, two sessions of PPA and remainder will be General cover.

The ideal Maths Teacher candidate would have the following requirements:

  • Have a passion teaching Maths
  • Have excellent subject knowledge of teaching Maths to KS3 and 4
  • Be able to organise themselves
  • Be able to engage with pupils in a proactive way
  • To apply for this Maths Teacher position with Premier Teachers you must hold QTS or QTLS. We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers as well as ECTs.

    In addition, you must:

    • Provide two referees we can contact

    • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

    Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on where you are on the National Teacher Pay scales and the level of experience that you have to date.
