An Independent School in Gateshead requires an IT or Computer Science Teacher. This is an independent boys school with a strong and supportive management team. The school is very happy to talk to graduates who have Computer Science and IT related degrees but have no teaching experience too or limited experience and wish to embark on a career as an Instructor. This is a full time and long term role which may become permanent and it is 4 days per week.

What to Expect from the Role: As a Graduate on our Graduates into Teaching Pathway, you'll provide support to pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis across partner secondary schools, SEN schools, and primary schools. You'll receive mentorship and coaching from our experienced team to develop your skills as you train, with placements tailored to schools near you.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in ICT or Computer Science for this role and ideally hold QTS.
- Hold/predicted a degree with a 2.2 or above.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or C).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic work environment.
- Organised and efficient approach to tasks.
- Passion for working with young people, particularly in a secondary school setting.
- Provide two referees we can contact.
- Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one.
