A Design Technology Cover Supervisor is required for a secondary school in the Newcastle area. You will cover Design Technology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 pupils, and it would also require some general cover across the school. The successful candidate would need to have a background in teaching/covering sessions in Resistant Materials. This long-term, full-time role will be starting in September and could potentially last for one year for the right candidate.
This secondary school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers. The ideal Design Technology Cover Supervisor candidate would:
- Have a passion for covering Design Technology sessions
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be able to organise themselves
- Be able to engage with children in a proactive way
We are keen to hear from both experienced Design Technology Teachers or ECTs. We would also be interested in candidates who have worked previously as DT Technicians or someone who has worked in industry in Product Design.
