PSN are supporting a global sporting event start-up that are looking for an Operations Strategy Analyst to join their growing team. We’re looking for a highly organised and driven Operations Strategy Analyst to provide analytical and project support to the Operations Strategy team. You will be responsible for diving deep into data, identifying bottlenecks, and helping translate high-level strategy into actionable operational improvements. This role suits someone who enjoys working hands-on with data to uncover the “why” behind the “what.” You’ll contribute to high-impact projects, learning through experimentation and helping shape the future of a fast-growing sports organisation. Key Role Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support:
- Lead specific strategic tasks (e.g., building pricing strategies for new events) from data gathering through to delivery
- Convert ad-hoc operational tasks into standardised templates and repeatable processes
- Maintain internal dashboards tracking revenue, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency
- Analyse operational datasets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support the creation of executive presentations by translating data into clear visual insights
- Conduct benchmarking and market research to compare capabilities against industry best practices
- Track strategic initiatives, ensuring project plans stay updated and deadlines are met
- Support cross-department coordination to gather requirements and maintain project alignment
- Map current vs. future operational processes to identify areas for optimisation
Who We’re Looking For / Profile:
- 1–2 years’ experience in an analytical role (e.g., Operations, Consulting, Strategy), ideally within sports or events
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic modelling is a MUST); comfortable with Google Slides
- Able to simplify complex tasks and communicate clear updates
- Proactive mindset — identifies issues and suggests practical next steps
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Collaborative team player focused on achieving shared outcomes
- Interest in industry trends and emerging technologies
