Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join our dynamic team.
This role provides a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on the department, grow with us, and achieve your financial and career progression goals.
We are looking for someone who is talented, driven, and dedicated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of private client cases, the lion’s share of which will be probate cases (both taxable and non-taxable), including ancillary work.
- Advise clients on wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, estate administration, and inheritance tax planning.
- Assist in building and developing the private client department.
- Draft complex legal documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, where required.
- Contribute to business development and strengthening client relationships.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and private client best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor with proven experience in private client law.
- Strong technical knowledge in wills, probate, estate planning, and trusts.
- Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively, prioritising competing demands.
- Sound knowledge of inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
