The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in a specialist and growing industry. Full training will be provided, and you will work alongside experienced colleagues to build your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates and tenders.
- Review project specifications, drawings and documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
- Maintain and update estimating records and databases.
- Support the estimating team with general administrative tasks.
- Learn and develop in line with company processes and industry best practices.
What Were Looking For
- Good standard of English written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound numeracy and mathematical ability.
- Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record.
- A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Any experience or qualifications in construction, engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in an estimating or office-based environment.
