I am working with a leading financial services agency who are seeking a media relations professional to join them. My client are open to Senior Account Manager, Account Director, Senior Account Director and Associate Director levels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, with a particular focus on financial services, investment trusts, and wealth management sectors. £50,000 - £80,000 + bonus and new business commission. Central London. 2/3 days per week in the office is required.
Day-to-day:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of PR accounts, ensuring clients’ strategic objectives are being met.
- Develop and implement media strategies, leveraging strong relationships with key financial, business, and trade journalists.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivery of impactful public relations.
- An active approach on the accounts is crucial – from liaising with clients to speaking to the media.
- Mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development. Support growth through pitching, proposal development, and expanding existing client accounts.
- Provide senior counsel to clients on media strategy, issues and crisis communications, and positioning.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and media developments in the financial sector to offer insightful advice to clients.
- Oversee the creation of thought leadership content, press materials, and integrated communication strategies (depending on level).
- Ensure client needs are being met effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key financial services media and industry players.
- Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.

- A deep understanding of the financial sector, media landscape, and corporate communications.
- Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
