What You'll be Doing:
- As the Principal Investigator for decentralized clinical research trials, you will personally conduct and supervise research activities for infant formula growth monitoring studies in England in accordance with applicable local, regional, and international regulations and ethics committee requirements whilst ensuring the rights, safety, and welfare of the participants under their care are protected at all times.
- Will be comfortable with a decentralized (also known as a direct-to-subject or site-less) clinical research trial in which subject consent and review of inclusion/exclusion criteria will be performed through telehealth video conferencing.
- Obtaining ethics approval prior to any participant enrollment.
- Routinely performs data and study records review to ensure participant safety and data integrity.
- Providing medical expertise and support.
- Providing medical input into the protocol design and clinical development plans.
- Contributing to the medical input and review of regulatory documents.
- May present at Investigator, Customer, training, and/or bid defense meetings, as needed.
- Maintaining ultimate medical and regulatory accountability for study conduct, including oversight of decentralized and remote activities performed by delegated personnel, vendors, and home healthcare providers.
What we are searching for:
- Medical degree with an active, unrestricted medical license.
- Preferably a Pediatrician.
- Should be familiar with infant milestones and infant formula.
- Should be experienced with telehealth, plotting growth curves, understanding percentiles and be familiar with WHO growth charts for under 2 year old's.
- Should have 3-5 years of principal investigator experience.
The target to hire for this role is early September with anticipated weekly hours ramping up to between 4-6 by February 2027. Ahead of then there will be a hold on activities / expected hours other than SIV and training between September to January, when consent begins.
