Premier Research is looking for an Executive Director, Medical Affairs to join our Medical Affairs team. You will help biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma companies transform life-changing ideas and breakthrough science into new medicines, devices, and diagnostics. What you’ll be doing:

  • Liaising with and identifying suitable Key Opinion Leaders via professional network or feasibility assessment.
  • Providing scientific & medical support and guidance to the operational teams in all relevant aspects of Premier Research projects.
  • Offering medical monitoring and/or drug safety support when appropriate and requested.
  • Reviewing Medical/Scientific Data as requested from Premier Departments e.g. CTM, Biometrics.
  • Offering both general and therapeutic training, including preparation of training materials.
  • Providing expert input on RFP/RFI, including (but not limited to) therapeutic overview, executive summary, patient recruitment, strategy and protocol considerations and study execution strategy as needed.
  • Attending client meetings in conjunction with specific proposals or general capabilities presentations as needed.
  • Leveraging strategic collaborations with clients to expand the relationship and the services offered by Premier Research.
  • Raising the profile and image of Premier Research within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry by representing the company in scientific/industry meetings, presenting and chairing panel presentations, contributing to the publications on peer-reviewed scientific and industry journals.

What we are searching for:

  • Degree of Medicine Board certification (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine / Obstetrics / Gynaecology.
  • Clinical / Clinical Research experience is an advantage; however, we will also consider those working in academia within the area of Women’s Health (Obstetrics / Gynaecology).
  • Prior / current CRO work experience, a benefit.
  • Extensive (15 years plus) drug development experience in Women’s Health (Obstetrics / Gynaecology).
  • Good business acumen within the CRO and drug development environment or, for those with work experience only gained in academia, should be able to demonstrate an appetite for client engagement and fostering positive client interactions.
